GOLF TRAVEL SALES CONSULTANT QUESTIONNAIRE
THE ROLE:
As a Golf Travel Sales Consultant, you will be expected to respond promptly to enquires that are generated by phone, email, the website and our online partners to assist clients in booking all elements of their golf vacation.

As a Golf Travel Sales Consultant, you are expected to establish the client's individual trip needs and wishes and make the appropriate recommendations.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Selling golf vacations via inbound leads
• Phone calls (receiving & making calls to/from clients and venues)
• Emails (quotes to clients and communication with the venues)
• Live online chats
• Calculating costs & preparing quotes
• Managing customer accounts via our CRM software
• Confirming bookings with venues and customers
• Dealing with amendments to booking details where necessary (tee times, group numbers, dinners, caddies, transportation, etc.)
• Taking payments via electronic payment systems
ESSENTIAL/PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Preferably has experience of sharing workloads and working in a team environment on a daily basis.
• A good understanding of professional, amateur and club golf is essential
• Direct customer service/communication skills and experience are essential
• Very strong and demonstrable organizational and analytical skills are essential
• Good level of mathematics skills are essential
• Preferably has worked to their own initiative to meet KPIs and personal goals.
• Excellent golf business knowledge & performance is essential
• Knowledge of golf destinations in the U.S., Scotland, Ireland & Northern Ireland is preferred
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be a well-organized individual with a solid background in a sales environment, preferably within the travel industry and have knowledge of golf and its top venues in the U.S., Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland.
The candidate will be self-motivated to achieve their own personal sales targets and company goals, but willing to work within a small team to reach company targets as well.
The candidate will possess a positive attitude in all aspects of their work, and a professional manner and communications at all times with clients and potential clients.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
• Strong skills on all Microsoft Office applications and other computer systems (preferably including
WordPress websites) and willing to learn further specific computer applications
• Exceptional telephone manner
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Be able to work to a deadline and sometimes under pressure, while remaining calm and patient
• Have experience in prioritizing workloads efficiently
• Enjoys a challenge
• Strong, confident and assertive personality
• Driven, and willing to drive sales
• Proven track record of good time management skills
• Ability to build rapport and empathy with client
